An event held at the ranch of Nimitz Rotary Club members Pam and Neal Martin on May 25th in honor of Memorial Day raised over $5,200 which was presented to Sharon Massey and Dottie Pieper of Wounded Warriors at Nebo. The Nimitz Rotary provided a BBQ dinner and desserts for attendees. Local musician Jake Martin and visiting musical duo Surrender Hill donated their time to entertain the crowd.
This is the 3rd time the Martins have held the event as a fundraiser for Wounded Warriors at Nebo. Wounded Warriors at Nebo is an all volunteer, interdenominational, faith-based ministry located in Fredericksburg. They serve surrounding communities, including San Antonio. They are a 501(c)(3) organization totally supported by donations. They work with wounded warriors in the Warrior Transition Battalion at Fort Sam Houston.
